ANT
LION: A new type of alien
that works in groups. You can
control them by using the pheromone
grenades. More details on that
in the weapons section
ANT LION GUARD: This is
just a bigger version of the ant
lion. It packs a good punch
and can send you flying through the
air if it bats you with one of its
legs.
COMBINE SOLDIERS: These
soldiers seem to have many faces.
They are found mostly in City 17,
and need to be disposed of.
HOVERING SHIP: Not much
is known about these except their
pretty hard to take out. In
the E3 video the only effective
weapon was an RPG. These ships
move very fast and blasts out
bullets from the front.
HEADCRAB: There's no
mystery to these, as they haven't
changed at all since the original
Halflife. When they get close
enough to you they pounce causing
minimal damage. More a pain in
the ass alone, but critical in
higher numbers
HYDRA: (The blue line)
Can be found in aquatic areas.
Doesn't seem to have many friends,
as in this picture its actually
attacking a combine soldier.
It deals a great amount of damage as
it spikes out at its victims.
MANHACKS: Don't let size
mislead you. Though small they
come at you fast with rotating
blades that are extremely hazardous
to your health. They move so
quickly that you may find your
spending too much ammo on them and
resort to the crowbar.
SCANNERS: These things
fly around City 17 looking for
invaders that don't belong.
Its believed they are deployed by
the combine soldiers. Once
they spot you they will alert the
enemy of your location.
STRIDERS: Probably the
tallest enemy in the game.
These look like giant daddy longlegs
(just with 3 legs). They shoot
out bullets from their head, and
their sharp legs can slice right
into you for a quick death.
They are featured in City 17.
ZOMBIES: Similar to the
zombies in the original Halflife.
They have been reskinned and look
much more realistic then before.
Zombies come to life after a
headcrab takes over a dead body.
To rid yourself of these you must
somehow blow off their head which
contains the headcrab.
Otherwise they can possibly come
back to life later.
